    - ioXt 2020 Base Profile for all devices which are not covered under another profile.

  • Types of certification

    Certification Methods

    1. Third-party lab using white box testing: The IoT device source code for the application and schematics are supplied to a third-party test lab. The test lab then performs the test plan and certifies the results that were submitted by the manufacturer.

    2. Third-party lab using black box testing: The manufacturer provides only the device to the third-party test lab, and the results are submitted by the manufacturer.

    Which devices can be certified

    Device Profiles

    Each device type has a designated profile that defines which devices can be certified under that profile and the level of security it will require. Profiles include: Android device, smart speaker, consumer camera, lighting, automotive infotainment, HVAC, appliances.

    How to start

    Certify a device

    If you want to certify your IoT device with ioXt Certification Program, there are two ways to start:

    1. Go to ioXt Alliance website register page and choose DEKRA as your Authorized Lab. 

    2. Contact us directly writing to products.global@dekra.com.
