    The charging infrastructure has a big impact on consumer adoption of electric vehicles. Battery range and charging time are still seen as limiting factors by many people.     In order to increase the range of electric vehicles, battery packs are becoming bigger and heavier – and hence pose an ever-greater potential safety hazard.
